Laura DeLuca was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her interest in fashion started at a young age and naturally led her to fashion school. She graduated in 2012, showcasing her original design collection at a final fashion show. Directly afterwards she made the local news when she mounted a massive charity fashion show that showcased her own designs as well as a selection of local designers and merchandisers. Funds raised went to the Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Her love of film led her into the movie industry where she quickly found her calling in the Costume department. Laura has worked in every role, which has given her a deep appreciation and understanding of how the costume design team works. This, she believes, has equipped her to become a better leader. Now she truly enjoys her role as head costume designer and loves the challenge of designing original, iconic and memorable costumes that make the characters and the story come alive on the big screen.
